The first round of sketches for a class project I'm finishing up for next week. We are creating three portraits, the subjects of which should be related in some way. I chose British authors Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and J.K. Rowling. These were basically for me to kinda figure out how to draw them. The bottom sketch is a quick thumbnail sort of image I did while trying to come up with ideas for compositions. Also, a few bonus Game of Thrones characters on the first page.:)
